Speech Team Shines at SCJFL Tournamnent

The Speech and Debate Team competed on Thursday at the Southern California Junior Forensic League tournament. The tournament drew schools from all over the LA County area with almost 200 middle school students competing. Leading the team were Tess Gauthier who captured 3rd Place in Prose Interpretation and Esteban Sanchez who took home 4th Place in Original Oratory.  The rest of the team included the Duo Interpretation teams of Madeline Tupy and Natalie Gohrick, Rebecca Troescher and Makenna Maucher and Sophie Johnson and Jenna Mijares who all finished in the top ten. And making the top ten in Prose Interpretation were Ellysee Vielma, Amanda Coscarelli and Zoe Samerjan.
