L.E.A.P.S. Session I

Monday 9-14, 9-21, 9-28, 10-05, 10-12, 10-19, 10-26

Lego Robotics grades K- 5
Challenge aspects of your creativity and intellect while learning the basics of engineering and physics! Students are given new and different projects every week to build, test, and modify as they graduate to the next level of engineering comprehension. This class is as fun as it is inventive! Skateboarding grades K-5
In this action-packed class, beginner and intermediate skateboarders will experience the thrill of riding. Skilled and experienced instructor, Tim Shepard, leads students through an introduction to basic skateboarding techniques like proper foot placement, pushing, and steering, learning to ollie, and bail. But the class emphasis is really on having fun! Students need their own board and helmet. Class size is limited to 12 students on a first come first serve basis.

Animal Invasion grades TK-5
Animal invasion is a class for all animal lovers. Your child will see and learn about all kinds of amazing live animals. Our hands-on class includes Reptiles, Amphibians, Mammals, Birds, Insects and much more. Don’t miss out on all the fun, games and most importantly the animals! www.parkeranderson.org

Craft Party with Mrs. Nolan grades K-5
This session we will be working on Random Acts of Kindness tokens and ideas to make our world just a little bit happier!We are up-cycling and recycling many surprising items. We use lots of glitter and glue to create fabulous displays for our school bulletin boards.We use paper, clay, felt and yarn to make gifts to give and keep. Join me for a little music, a little snack and a big mess of glitter! Class size is limited to 10 students on a first come first serve basis.

Creative Sculpture grades K-5
Children become inspired learning about famous sculpture, and allow students to explore with various media. Students learn how to make figurines, beads, jewelry, mosaics, and more! Come join the fun! www.parkeranderson.org

Cooking with Mrs. Khraich grades K-8
In this scrumptious class, kids will tantalize their taste buds and have fun with food! Different recipes each week! Learn the math of measuring, nutrition, dining etiquette and cooperation skills. We will have lots of fun with making Ice-cream, S’mores, lots of fun summer ideas preparing in the kitchen and outside. Class size is limited to 10 students on a first come first serve basis.

MatheMagic grades K- 5
MatheMagic combines the exciting skills of Magic with the brain-teasing aspects of Math to create an intellectual and entertaining activity that not only enhances student’s problem solving logic and lateral thinking skills, but also teachers them that Math can be fun!.www.parkeranderson.org

Chess Club grades 1-8
Class size will be limited to 12 on a first come first serve. How do you make kids smarter? With chess! Chess teaches kids how to analyze strategic situations. By getting kids to focus, concentrate, anticipate, and evaluate, Chess can help your child to develop abstract thinking skills. Chess also teaches your child to plan, organize, and multi-task they are thinking. And best of all, coach Jeff is a certified instructor and will make it interesting and fun. Sign up today! Weeks of after-school chess consisting of a group lesson, playtime/tournament and 1-on-1 instructions during playtime.
