Curriculum
The faculty and staff at Saint Rita Catholic School believe that we are called as Christian teachers to educate the whole person, spiritually, intellectually, socially, psychologically and physically.
Math
St. Rita is known for our EXCELLENT Math Program! St. Rita School incorporates “Leveled Math.” We have one of the highest Math Score Averages!
Religion
Religious Education places emphasis on a sense of Catholic community. St. Rita School incorporates the teachings from Christ Our LIfe: Loyola Press.
STEM
St. Rita School provides a well-rounded STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) based curriculum. St. Rita has adopted the methods developed by Rice University.
Social Studies
Current Event, American History and World History for grades 5 through 8.
Fine Arts
Students attend music class two times each week. Students from 1st-8th grade attend Art class every week.
Foreign Language
Students learn grammar, pronunciation, and conjugating verbs.
Language Arts
Parts of speech, Diagramming Sentences, Spelling, Reading, Writing, Cursive Writing, grammar, vocabulary, Oral communication
Physical Education
Physical and Psychological Education is important to develop within each child a physical and psychological awareness of self and of others.
Field Trips
Each grade level will on average attend between 3-4 field trips per year! All field trips are tied to the school curriculum. Students have the opportunity to experience academic and enrichment destinations to supplement the core instruction aligned with the common core standards.
