I was ordained a priest in 1989 and have spent all but two years of my priesthood in parishes with elementary schools. I came to this wonderful parish in Sierra Madre, excited about the strong school that has been here thriving since 1922. As I meet new school families, I share with them these important aspects of our school: the parents, the school faculty and staff, and the church. Each plays a vital role in the development of every child. I know from my own personal experience that my Catholic education and formation helped develop me intellectually, spiritually, physically and socially for life after school. That formation took deep roots because it was demonstrated and supported at home, at school and at church. I have very fond memories of my childhood years spent at St. Pancratius Parish School in Lakewood, California and I pray similar memories will be made here at St. Rita Parish School for your children.
