Pastor & Principal Welcome

Welcome to St. Rita Parish School. We are a spirited Catholic community located in the beautiful city of Sierra Madre. We welcome  any and all families from our parish community as well as surrounding communities. At St. Rita School we pride ourselves in giving each child the best education possible therefore setting them up for success in the future.

From the moment a child is baptized they develop their relationship with God.  We accompany the children in deepening this relationship by living out the Gospel message. It is our goal to educate our students in their Catholic faith, fully develop their academic potential, and nurture the whole person – physically, socially, and morally.

I thank you for choosing St. Rita School for your child’s educational journey.  To those who are considering our school, please come take a tour.  You will not be disappointed. Our students thrive in a faith-filled environment where they are loved, cared for and valued. St. Rita School has had a vast and rich tradition of faith and academic formation for over 100 years. We are committed to continuing this rich tradition for the next 100.

Blessings & Joy,

Mrs. Adela Solis

Principal

Serving the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since my ordination in 1989, I came to St. Rita Parish in 2018, 110 years after the parish was established. I am so honored to be in this part of the Archdiocese, my first experience serving in the San Gabriel Valley. In 2022 we proudly celebrated the 100th anniversary of our parish school, a year marked with a variety of memorable events.

As we move forward into the next 100 years, I am excited by the wonderful school faculty and administration that serves this community. I enjoy connecting everyday life with our faith life and engaging regularly with the school children, faculty and staff. As a school community we strive to make Jesus alive through kindness, mercy and ongoing care.

I appreciate all who have been a part of this school community over the years, making it a strong and vibrant part of our Archdiocese, and I look forward to continuing to serve God's people here at St. Rita. Please be assured of my prayers and support.
